I still remember my 1hr talk with an old and bold Perequito (in cage unfortunately) in Cienfuegos in Cuba, it was really enlightening as it was looking at me really surprised to hear my weird human accent haha. This encounter really inspired me so I started using birds sounds in my tracks, and for this particular one, I used parakeet singing, but also the sound of wings slapping the water when they clean themselves as a percussion loop! Then recorded some cow-boy guitar and spacey synths before working on the cumbia gimmicks. I really loved making this one.
